You can try me on my cell phone
You can page me all night long
But you won't catch this free bird
I'll already be long gone
-- Sheryl Crow
What in the free world did we ever do without cell phones?? I went to Target last night (see many previous entries for my thoughts on the Tar-jay). Everywhere I looked, everyone had a phone glued to their face.
Now I'm not judging by any means at all. I'm all about the celly. But I just hope that we are not becoming even more withdrawn as a society by never interacting with strangers in a public place because we are on our phones. Look around -- when's the last time you smiled at someone in the store that you didn't know and said, hey, how's it going? Or even excuse me for that matter.
So, like I said, I've got no problem with the cell and I'm loving that I can multi-task by checking up on all my peeps while simultaneously picking up some Dasani and Ruben's new CD. And of course we've talked on this here site numerous times about email and the Internet as the new form of communication. I just wonder what the future holds??? Will we never interact with people face to face at all?? Anywayz, kids, you all have a nice weekend!
lots of love,
Ames

I remember driving behind you on the Parkway watching you prop your head up with your cell phone the entire length of the "way". You are one of those "cell people".. lol. Least you owned up to it ;)
