I used to ride
With a vending machine repairman
He says he's been down this road more than twice
He was high on intellectualism
I've never been there, but the brochure looks nice
Jump in let's go
Lay back, enjoy the show
Everybody gets high
Everybody gets low
These are the days when anything goes
--Sheryl Crow
Yesterday as I sat in the pitch black dark on the road to my apartment at the very late hour of 5:15 I noticed one of those ad trucks a couple of cars in front of me. You know, those trucks that look like moving trucks but have scrolling ads on the side? Finally I was able to get right behind it. And I was mesmerized. After I read through all of the ads, or should I say, after I critiqued all of the ads (they sucked), I began to wonder if I could fashion a flat screen TV to the back of this truck. Then, maybe I wouldn't spend the commute home fighting my natural tendency at road rage.
What? You think it's a crazy idea?? How is it more nuts than what they are doing now? The purpose of those trucks is to get you to read them. How is watching the local news on the back of that truck any different? I'm calling them to find out if we can make some type of arrangement...
