How did the world work before the web and particularly email? Seriously – how did folks with office jobs work before email? I do remember my life prior to email, but I began my career with it as an essential tool and I don’t know how folks functioned beforehand.

What will the next great technology be? I remember a professor in college telling us there would come a day when everyone would have a lap top type thing that you could write on, etc. Guess what? I have a tablet PC now – he was right. Anyway, it’s just very interesting.

Speaking of interesting, I find it interesting that my pals cannot come up with 10 or 12 songs that are meaningful or important or that you just love. Come on kids, what gives?

So I haven’t paid too much attention to this business about Bill Clinton getting his own CD, I’ve just read the bare minimum to get the point. And of course Starbucks has been rolling hot and heavy with the business of having say, Sheryl Crow, put out a CD of her favorite music.

I’m thinking about it, but I haven’t yet narrowed down the definitive Dabbs collection, but when I do, you’ll be the first to know.

And you know what’s next, don’t you?

Hit me – I don’t care what your musical tastes are, even if you just give me 10 or 12 tracks by the same artist, jump on here and let me know. And I know, how can you define us complicated gen X and Yers in such a fashion? You can’t see the whole picture in 10 -12 tracks, blah, blah. And you’re right, but come on, just for fun. I was in a store last week (which was still July, mind you) and they had out Halloween decorations. HALLOWEEN decorations in JULY! Ugh. How is that helpful? Now since it has rolled into August, I’m certain I’ll find Thanksgiving stuff out any day now. This is unacceptable. Life is too fast paced as it is. Can’t we enjoy holidays as they come along? For that matter, can't we enjoy the last month of summer before you kick us into fall? Why not even early September for the Halloween push? July? You have got to be kidding me, man. (And yes, I said man because I have a sneaky feeling this is another example of “the man” and his plan to “keep us down” or whatever.) Thoughts?
